What a beautiful day the Lord has made. The sun is shining and the sky is a beautiful shade of blue. As I sit here, I can't stop thinking about God's love. Right now i am in my own little world. The breeze is gently blowing through the palm frawns. The shadows are beginning to creep up on the lawn areas. The ducks are swimming without a care in the world. Why can't everyday be as peaceful as this. Well, the answer is that it is. Sometimes I take the events of the day and make them bigger than they are. The problems make the day cloudy and dreary but, we need to remember that God is in control. The sun is always shining. We just need to look past what is in front of us.
Today, I began preparing my lesson for Children's Church on Sunday. As I was reading Exodus, I couldn't help but wondering why the people were so disobedient to God. God had heard their cry and took them out of slavery. Instead of being thankful, they continued to grumble. As we recall from our bible studies, the Israelites wandered 40 years in the desert and never made it to the land of milk and honey because of their disobedience. Their journey should have only taken days and instead 40 years. God told me not to be judgemental because how many years have I been wandering and not listening.
Take each day and be thankful for what we have and for the things we don't. Pray and give thanks to our Heavenly father and to his son Jesus Christ. Pray for our family, friends, church, pastor, leaders, neighbors, those that pick on us, other religions, and everyone throughout the World. may God Richly Bless your life as he has done mine
